Driver Sammy Smith has confirmed his exit from JR Motorsports following the season. Smith will not be back to Dale Jr.'s NASCAR team for 2027. The decision brings an end to a three-year run with the motorsports crew.
While sharing the news, Smith stated that the job is not over yet as he completes the final stretch of the current season. He will use the rest of the year finishing out his final schedule with JR Motorsports before formally ending his three-year tenure with Dale Jr.'s team.
