Alan Carr, known for his role on Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, is attracting even more attention as he has been 'poached' by the BBC for a fresh show format.
The 49-year-old comedian, famous for playing a Traitor on the BBC One gameshow, is reportedly heading abroad to film a pilot for a prime-time quiz series featuring celebrity guests, according to The Sun.
This move comes amid rumors of a new TV deal for Alan, nearly a decade after the end of his Channel 4 chat show Chatty Man.
The deal is expected to position Alan in direct competition with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his contract to continue hosting The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
"Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
Alan Carr's transition from ITV to BBC highlights his rising TV popularity and new opportunities in prime-time entertainment.
