The Dallas Mavericks continue to struggle in a league where strong offense rules. This past week, they went 1–2 and remain in 14th place in the Western Conference.
Daniel Gafford (ankle) made his first appearance of the season in Mexico City against the Pistons. Dante Exum (knee) and Kyrie Irving (knee) have yet to see the court. Dereck Lively remains sidelined after a knee injury early in the season.
“Anthony Davis injured his calf against the Pacers and has yet to return.”
Injuries continue to shape the Mavericks’ season. Though every team deals with them, Dallas has struggled to find rhythm or consistency on offense, often performing well for only brief stretches.
The rotation instability has hindered their offensive flow. Frequent lineup changes and the decision to continue starting Cooper Flagg at point guard have limited their scoring potential. Still, despite missing key players, Dallas put up respectable performances in recent games without Anthony Davis.
The Mavericks’ ongoing injuries and unreliable offense keep them from finding consistency, offsetting any defensive effort that could lead them toward championship contention.
