Alan Carr flees to US ahead of Celebrity Traitors final because 'everyone hates him'

Alan Carr escapes to the US before Celebrity Traitors final

Comedian Alan Carr has flown to the United States just days before the finale of Celebrity Traitors. The 49-year-old entertainer, one of two remaining Traitors alongside 25-year-old singer Cat Burns, has become a viral sensation for his sharp wit and infectious laugh.

However, the Chatty Man star admitted that he felt under pressure from public scrutiny after his cheeky performance on the BBC show. Carr joked that he is “the most hated man in the UK” and decided to take refuge in Orlando, Florida, accompanied by his nephew and niece.

“I'm the most hated man in the UK, I've had to come here to Orlando to get away from it. Everyone hates me! I just needed to get away because it's stressful murdering every day. My Christmas card list is getting smaller and smaller.”

During a lively chat with Heart Radio hosts Olly Murs and Mark Wright, who were broadcasting from a pop-up studio, Carr explained that he simply needed a break from all the attention. When Murs suggested that Carr dress up as a Traitor at Universal Studios and grab a cape from the Harry Potter World, Carr laughed it off.

“I've come here for a break!” he joked, adding that he might ride the water slide at Volcano Bay while wearing the cape and carrying a Traitors lantern.

Carr also shared that his close friend, singer Paloma Faith, was not particularly pleased with his antics on the show, further fueling his decision to take a temporary retreat across the Atlantic.
