Shooting Incident in Portland's Pearl District Leaves Two Injured
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 2:32 a.m., Portland Police responded to reports of gunfire near Northwest 9th Avenue and Northwest Couch Street in the Pearl District. Officers found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg. They provided trauma first aid, including a tourniquet, and called paramedics. The victim was then transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Shortly after, officers were notified that a male victim arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound, reportedly from the same area. Authorities believe both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene, and no immediate arrests have been made. Detectives from the Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) are investigating the incident.
During the investigation, the following closures were in effect:
- Northwest 9th Avenue between West Burnside Street and Northwest Davis Street
- Northwest Couch Street between Northwest Park Avenue and Northwest 10th Avenue
"There is reason to believe that there were numerous witnesses in the area at the time of the shooting, and some may have left before talking to police."
The authorities continue to seek information from any witnesses to ensure a thorough investigation.
