Every year, Starbucks transforms its coffeehouses around the world for the festive season. Baristas replace their menu boards with red ones and stock up on Christmas Blend coffee. Since 1997, the iconic white Starbucks cups have been replaced with brightly colored holiday designs, each symbolizing the joy of the season.
Starbucks creative director Kristy Cameron leads the team that creates the holiday cups, which debut alongside seasonal food and beverages in November. Cameron explained the special feeling the cups bring:
“There’s something unmistakably magical about that moment the cups arrive – it’s as if the season officially begins.”
The ribbon motif extends throughout the cafes, accompanied by evergreen garlands and velvet ribbons. Cameron described the festive look:
“We’ve dipped the stores in rich textures and a deep coffee cherry red, and Starbucks green.”
Starbucks embraces holiday cheer with festive cup designs inspired by barista aprons, creating a cozy, authentic seasonal experience in their stores.
