The National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard office issued a wind advisory on Thursday at 8:14 p.m., effective Friday from 3 a.m. until 11 a.m. for the San Luis Obispo County Mountains.
The NWS forecasts north to northeast winds ranging from 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,"
"Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."
The NWS categorizes high wind alerts into three levels of risk:
