Overnight Full Closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) in Contra Costa County – Martinez Area
Caltrans Nighttime Maintenance Work
Caltrans is continuing overnight paving and maintenance along both directions of State Route 4 (SR-4) between Cummings Skyway and the Alhambra Avenue/Interstate 80 interchange in Martinez.
Work Schedule
The work will occur nightly from November 5 through November 8, 2025, weather permitting. Closures are planned between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM, Monday through Saturday.
Please note the schedule is tentative and may change due to weather or construction progress.
Traffic Information and Detours
Drivers should expect reverse one-way traffic control near Interstate 80 at the Cummings Skyway overcrossing. Temporary traffic signals will be in use. Motorists are urged to follow posted signs and detour routes at all times.
