Goodwill to Open New Irondequoit Store with State Support
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is preparing to open a new 25,000-square-foot retail store at Skyview on the Ridge in Irondequoit. The store will be housed in the former Irondequoit Mall and is expected to provide both sales space and operational facilities.
State Funding and Support
The project has received a total of $1.3 million in state support, secured through the efforts of New York State Senator Samra Brouk and Assemblywoman Sarah Clark. Senator Brouk allocated $1 million from the New York State Community Investment Fund, while Assemblywoman Clark provided $300,000 in additional funding.
“Goodwill of the Finger Lakes will open a new retail location at Skyview on the Ridge in Irondequoit,” announced Andrea Deckert.
Economic and Community Impact
The new store is expected to create approximately 45 new jobs in the area, while also contributing significant tax revenue to the Town of Irondequoit. Construction is set to begin in early 2026, after final state and partner agreements are completed.
