Harvard football has dominated the Ivy League this season, winning all seven games by at least three touchdowns. This strong performance earned them the No. 9 spot in the latest Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings, marking the highest ranking in the program's history.
In addition to the Stats Perform poll, Harvard was ranked 13th in the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Poll this week — their best position in that ranking since at least 2011. This rise in the polls followed a decisive 31-10 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday, bringing their record to 7-0.
Harvard remains the only undefeated team in the Ivy League. Their main rivals Yale and Penn both hold 5-2 records. Harvard has yet to face these competitors, with Penn visiting on November 15, ahead of the 141st edition of the historic “The Game” against Yale in New Haven.
The ranking is especially noteworthy as Ivy League teams are eligible for the FCS playoffs for the first time this season. Harvard aims to extend its winning streak to eight games in an upcoming away match against Columbia on Friday night.
"Harvard football’s dominant run in the Ivy League was rewarded on Monday with the No. 9 spot in the latest Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings, the highest in program history."
"Harvard is the only unbeaten team left in the Ivy, with archrival Yale and Penn both 5-2."
Summary: Harvard football reached a historic No. 9 ranking in the FCS polls, showcasing an undefeated season and setting sights on Ivy League glory and playoff success.
