Fans of Stranger Things are anxious about the fate of their favorite characters as the series approaches its fifth and final season. However, stars Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery have only added to the anticipation without revealing much.
When questioned about the potential devastation in Hawkins during Vecna’s invasion, Heaton and Keery remained discreet but hinted at an intense and impressive conclusion. Heaton shared with TheWrap at the Hollywood premiere:
“I really do think it’s a triumph this year. You know, we filmed for a whole year. It’s massive.”
“And I think everyone — I’ve seen the first five [episodes] — they brought their best work to this. You’re seeing our lives for the last 10 years and our feelings and [The Duffer Brothers] and their work all kind of come together. We like it.”
Heaton added that viewers are unaware of what lies ahead:
“It’s huge. It’s pretty special.”
Keery echoed those feelings, implying that the season will provide a satisfying conclusion without loose ends:
“I can’t say much about what it was. But, for me, it was one of the most rewarding days on set.”
“And usually, in life, you don’t get to close a loop really in that way. And to be given the opportunity to do that and go out in style was pretty cool.”
The cast of Stranger Things promises that the final season will be an emotionally powerful, well-crafted conclusion reflecting a decade of their journey.
