Live updates on Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine, compiled from Kyiv. On November 7, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) reported new drone strikes on Russian-controlled Crimea, targeting fuel and logistics infrastructure.
The SSO stated that long-range drones hit an oil depot near the village of Hvardiiske, about 20 kilometers north of Simferopol. According to the statement, a full RVS-400 tank used for storing oil and other liquids was destroyed during the operation.
"Special Operations Forces continue to act asymmetrically in countering the enemy's military capabilities," said the SSO in a Telegram post, sharing drone footage of the strikes.
The Russian occupational administration in Crimea has not publicly responded to Ukraine’s claims regarding the damage. The Kyiv Independent has not been able to independently confirm the SSO’s reports.
The SSO also claimed that drones struck other oil depots and fuel storage facilities in and around Simferopol, along with two trains carrying petroleum products at a loading site.
During a media briefing in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the mass production of one of the most widely used drones in the conflict, the DJI Mavic.
