The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has raised concerns over the low rate of flu vaccinations among adults under 65 who live with chronic illnesses. Fewer than one in three in this group have received their flu shot this year, leaving millions more susceptible to influenza complications.
“Fewer than one in three under-65s with a long-term health condition have been vaccinated against flu so far this year,” health officials said.
Health authorities warn that an early rise in flu cases has already been observed, increasing the urgency for at-risk individuals to get vaccinated before infections spread further.
UKHSA reports a concerningly low flu vaccination rate among chronically ill under-65s, raising fear of widespread seasonal infections amid an early flu surge.
