‘Trailer Park Boys’ Star Mike Smith Charged With Sexual Assault

Mike Smith, known for playing Bubbles in the popular comedy series "Trailer Park Boys," has been officially charged with sexual assault, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Court documents from Nova Scotia provincial court indicate that the charge was filed on October 2 and is connected to an alleged incident that took place in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, in December.

Smith’s representative and lawyer did not respond to Variety’s requests for comment.

Production Company’s Response

“We are aware of the allegation concerning Mike Smith,” said a spokesperson for Trailer Park Boys Inc., confirming that Smith has stepped aside from his position as managing director. “We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”
