Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a mass singing of Vande Mataram in New Delhi at 9:30 AM on Friday to mark the 150th anniversary of the national song.
To honor this milestone, the Maharashtra BJP is organizing mass singing events at 150 locations across the state. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, other ministers, and elected officials will participate in these gatherings throughout Maharashtra.
“The national song, Vande Mataram, holds historic significance as it played a great role in inculcating nationalism and inspired thousands to revolt and fight against the British rule in pre-Independent India. Therefore, it is apt that we celebrate the national song across the state.”
He added that the entire song will be sung at all 150 places statewide.
All these events are scheduled for Friday, starting at 9:30 AM in New Delhi and corresponding times across Maharashtra.
