Surging Ducks ground Jets for 7th straight win

Rookie Beckett Sennecke recorded his first two-goal game, while Leo Carlsson scored two power-play goals as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 at the Honda Center.

The Ducks continue their rise as the hottest NHL team after beating the 2025 Pacific Division champions and reigning Presidents’ Trophy winners on back-to-back nights. This victory marks their seventh consecutive win, their longest streak since the 2021-22 season when they won eight straight. They've won nine of their last ten games overall.

“I heard about the losing days of the past couple years from the older guys, and they’re pretty pumped right now,” said Sennecke.

During this impressive run, Anaheim has defeated the reigning two-time Stanley Cup champions twice, along with a Western Conference finalist and another 2025 playoff contender.

The Ducks will next face the Colorado Avalanche in Denver—a clash of the NHL’s top two teams by points percentage.

“It’ll be a good challenge for us. We knew that our schedule had a bunch of tough teams in a row here, and I think we’re proving why we’re an established team,” Sennecke added.

Leo Carlsson is currently tied for second place in league points with Chicago’s Connor Bedard, the only player drafted before him in 2023, behind Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon.

Author's Summary: The Anaheim Ducks maintain a dominant streak with key performances from rookies Sennecke and Carlsson, solidifying their status among the NHL’s elite teams.
