Traffic delays were reported on the M25 anticlockwise near the Dartford Tunnel after a crash earlier today. The congestion stretched back to junction 4 (Orpington Bypass) before conditions gradually improved.

Kent Police confirmed that the incident, which occurred northbound on the A282 near Dartford, involved two vans and one car, contrary to earlier reports suggesting two cars and a van.

“Kent Police was called at 12.33pm on Friday, November 7, 2025, to a report of a collision involving two vans and a car on the A282 northbound near Dartford. Officers attended with the South East Coast Ambulance Service and assisted with traffic flow,” a Kent Police spokesperson told Kent Live.

National Highways noted that congestion eased after all lanes reopened shortly after 1:30pm. At one point, delays extended as far as junction 3 (Swanley Interchange), with current travel times estimated at about ten minutes longer than usual.

All lanes are now open on the M25 anticlockwise near the Dartford Tunnel.
Residual delays remain between junctions 3 and 4.
