Drivers experienced significant delays on the M25 clockwise this morning due to a four-vehicle collision near junction 7 (M23). Traffic has now returned to normal.
The crash occurred shortly after 6:15 a.m. between junction 5 (Sevenoaks) and junction 7. Surrey Police confirmed no injuries were reported in the collision.
"We were made aware of a collision involving four vehicles near J7 of the clockwise carriageway of the M25 shortly after 6.15am this morning. No injuries were reported, and the call was passed to National Highways."
National Highways initially reported lengthy delays but now indicate traffic has largely cleared, with only minor delays of about 10 minutes remaining in the area.
According to the traffic monitoring site Inrix, as of 8:25 a.m., slow traffic persisted, extending travel time to approximately 30 minutes between junctions 5 and 7.
"Slow traffic due to earlier accident on M25 clockwise from J5 M26 / A21 (Sevenoaks) to J7 M23. From a short hold earlier."
Traffic conditions have improved significantly, and authorities no longer report major delays on this stretch of the M25.
