The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Ian Leavers APM, who served as Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and a long-time member of QPS.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased around 9:50 a.m. after police responded to a call at a Mount Ommaney residence. Authorities have stated that his death is not considered suspicious, though investigations continue.
