Tim Ballard Claims Defamation and Excommunication by LDS Church
Tim Ballard, founder and former CEO of Operation Underground Railroad, alleges that he has been defamed and excommunicated in a conspiracy involving members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In a video posted late Wednesday night, Ballard appeared at a desk with soft piano music playing in the background. He began by clarifying that he and his wife, Katherine Ballard, are not divorcing.
"Tim and Katherine Ballard vs. the Deep Church will be going to every outlet, every podcast around the world."
Ballard compared his situation to the concept of the "Deep State," highlighting the real suffering of children abused by ISIS and traffickers. He described his excommunication as a "false excommunication," claiming he was denied due process.
Accusations Against the Church
- Ballard stated that the Church issued a public condemnation in September 2023 to prevent him from becoming a US Senator representing Utah.
- The Church’s statement referenced Ballard’s "betrayal" of a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

He is publicly demanding a retraction from the Church.
