Due to ongoing disruptions on the Egypt e-Visa portal that hinder access to approved visas, the authorities are now sending applicants an official approval certificate by email to secure their travel. For several days, the official portal visa2egypt.gov.eg has experienced unstable connections and pages failing to load, making it difficult to submit new applications and preventing access to PDFs of already approved visas.
“Regarding your visa, kindly be informed that your e-visa had been issued, but due to a technical issue the e-visa PDF is not available to be downloaded from the portal,” the Egyptian authorities announced in an email to many e-Visa applicants. The message includes the electronic visa number and its period of validity, confirming an approval despite the inability to retrieve the digital file.
The issued certificate does not include a QR code, but it serves as official approval for travel, including boarding and entry checks upon arrival in Egypt. This approach ensures applicants can proceed with travel plans while the portal’s technical issues are resolved.
If there are further updates or changes to the process, travelers should monitor official announcements from Egypt’s e-Visa authorities and trusted consulates for guidance.
Авторское резюме: В условиях технических сбоев на портале Egypt e-Visa власти временно выдают подтверждение одобрения по электронной почте, чтобы обеспечить непрерывность поездок, пока доступ к Порталу восстанавливается.
