Remembrance Day Garbage Collection Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment announces that garbage collection will not occur on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11.

“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is advising that household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11.”

Household waste scheduled for Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday, initiating a roll-over collection schedule. This means Friday’s collection will take place on Saturday.

This week is designated for recycling collection, which will continue as usual:

Residents may also deliver household waste and recycling to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off, open on Tuesday, November 11, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Normal hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm will resume daily thereafter.
