Jersey Power and Light is working to restore power to homes and businesses across the island.
The utility company reported that a significant number of customers are without power due to the severe weather conditions caused by Hurricane Fiona.
"We are working tirelessly to restore power to our customers as quickly and safely as possible," said a spokesperson for JPS. "We understand the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate the patience of our customers."
The company is prioritizing repairs to critical infrastructure, such as hospitals, emergency services, and other essential facilities.
Crews are working around the clock to restore power, but the process is expected to take several days.
Residents are advised to check the JPS website for updates on the restoration progress.
