Residents of Derby are invited to participate in the Remembrance Sunday events on Sunday, 9 November 2025, to honour those who have served in the armed forces and emergency services.
The city’s Remembrance Sunday parade and service will take place this November, uniting youth groups, veteran organisations, and community members. The event begins at 10:45 am, with local veterans and youth organisations parading through the city centre to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
A brief service, led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby, will start at 10:55 am. During the service, a two-minute silence will be observed.
This year, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not parade, unlike previous years. However, several local youth and veteran organisations have been invited to join the event as usual.
