Prince Harry has issued a lighthearted apology after a move that sparked attention, coinciding with King Charles’s recent decision regarding Prince Andrew’s royal standing.
During an interview with CTV News in Toronto for Remembrance Day events, the Duke of Sussex addressed his recent wardrobe choice at the World Series in Los Angeles.
"Is there anything you would like to say about wearing that L.A. Dodgers hat last week and getting into hot water?"
"Oh, the L.A. Well, firstly, I would like to apologize to Canada for wearing it," Harry responded.
Harry explained that the situation left him little choice, as he had been sitting in a Dodgers box at the invitation of the team owner.
"Secondly, I was under duress," he said. "There wasn't much choice — Dodgers box or the dugout by the owner himself. So, I was doing what I thought was the polite thing to do."
Although the Dodgers lost Game 4, they went on to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 5–4 in Game 7 to claim the World Series. During the interview, Harry showed humor and renewed loyalty by wearing a Blue Jays cap.
"I’ll wear this from now on so I don’t make that mistake again," he joked.
Prince Harry humorously apologized to Canadians for wearing a Dodgers cap, explaining it was out of courtesy, and later showed support to the Blue Jays after the World Series.
