Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is preparing to reclaim a powerful committee chairmanship in the upcoming Congress, VTDigger reports. Sanders told NBC News that Americans want meaningful reform, not tinkering around the edges, and urged Democrats to push for comprehensive healthcare. He also warned that the party cannot focus solely on Trump investigations while preparing to govern. Progressive organizers credit Sanders’s persistent governance plan for the comeback, noting his constant advocacy for party change. Sanders insisted the focus must remain on healthcare and economic equity rather than endless investigations.
