The long wait for Stranger Things Season 5 is almost over. Netflix released the first five minutes of the final season, offering fans a suspenseful glimpse of what’s next in Hawkins and the Upside Down.
The initial sequence, titled “The Crawl,” takes place deep in the Upside Down forest in 1983, shortly after Will Byers’ disappearance. Young Will, played by a de-aged Noah Schnapp, is seen frightened inside the eerie Upside Down version of Castle Byers. He quietly sings The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go.”
The scene shifts to the Upside Down’s Hawkins Library, where the Demogorgon delivers Will to Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower.
“At long last, we can begin.”
Vecna emerges from the shadows as vines lift Will against the wall. A tentacle reaches toward Will’s mouth, releasing an unknown substance.
The opening minutes of Stranger Things Season 5 set a haunting tone with a tense encounter that ties past and future threats, highlighting the season’s high stakes and suspense.
