The 10 New Roles and Fresh Faces That Will Make the Power Better

New Port Adelaide senior coach Josh Carr believes the club's extensive off-field overhaul will deliver strong results for the team. At Alberton headquarters, he shared his vision for collaboration and improvement across all roles.

"There's a licence for everyone in this building to explore and make everything better," Carr said. "And in the end, whoever has got the best ideas, we make that work."

A Fresh Start at Port Adelaide

Last week, Carr completed the formation of his off-field group, marking the beginning of a new era for Port Adelaide. The structure includes a ten-member coaching panel led by Carr, with Ben Rutten appointed as the new football manager and a new leader for fitness operations.

Among the twelve key positions, only two remain from the previous season's staff, signaling a significant refresh throughout the organization.

Focus on Connection and Teamwork

"I have a pretty good idea on the people that we're bringing in," Carr said, reflecting on the transition from former coach Ken Hinkley. "I don't think it's going to be a huge task in bringing us together. Because I know, number one, they're all selfless in their approach to coaching, and they want to do what is best for the team. Last week we spent a lot of time on connecting as a coaching group."
