David Taylor, 56, from Tarbolton Crescent, Hale, began an eight-month stalking campaign in August last year after being barred from his former GP practice due to aggressive and alarming behavior toward the doctor on the premises.
Following the ban, Taylor sought out the GP's business profile page and sent messages. Despite being blocked, he used another account to request that his medical records be transferred to a new GP.
The victim grew increasingly frightened by Taylor's persistent attempts to contact her and blocked him repeatedly. He then escalated to posting inappropriate comments on her business Facebook page.
The situation worsened on March 26, when Taylor appeared uninvited at the GP's home in Knutsford, asking for a word. Shocked, she quickly closed the door and called her husband and emergency services.
"With Taylor knowing where she and her family lived, the victim was left living in fear and no longer felt able to live her life normally."
David Taylor has been handed one of the country's longest jail sentences for stalking due to the severity of his obsessive and volatile behavior.
Author's summary: A relentless and volatile stalker subjected his former GP to months of terror, culminating in a threatening home visit and a lengthy prison sentence.
