The Orlando Magic defeated the Boston Celtics 123-110 in their NBA Cup opener on Friday night.
For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown scored 32 points, Payton Pritchard had 27 points, and Derrick White contributed 16 points along with 10 assists.
During the first quarter, Wagner, Tristan da Silva, and Anthony Black made three-pointers in a 20-2 run that gave Orlando a 16-point lead, their biggest advantage of the game. The Celtics rallied in the second half to tie the game and even led 96-95 after Brown's jumper midway through the fourth quarter.

This match was their first encounter since the Celtics eliminated the Magic in a first-round playoff series in April. Both teams are in East Group B of the NBA’s in-season tournament, alongside Brooklyn, Detroit, and Philadelphia.
