Uros Medic improved his record to 3-1 in his last four fights, with all his UFC victories coming by knockout. Known as one of the UFC's most powerful finishers, Medic is not fighting for time but to end bouts decisively.
At UFC Vegas 111, Medic replicated his previous first-round knockout by delivering a brutal knockdown and finishing Muslim Salikhov in just 63 seconds. Interestingly, Medic also defeated Gilbert Urbina in 63 seconds, highlighting his swift striking ability.
The fight demonstrated Medic's fearlessness against another dangerous striker, as he dominated with fight-ending strikes from the start.
“Everybody knows I come in here to fight,” Medic said. “Win or lose, I’m coming to put on a show. These guys need to stop skimming me on these bonuses. Sure I lose sometimes, but I’m just a human being. I’m going to come back here and put on a show every godd*mn time.”
“I said it’s going to be his kicking versus my boxing and I know I’m going to come out on top.”
With a 100% finishing rate in both the UFC and his overall career, Medic aimed to avoid the judges’ decision by aggressively exchanging strikes from the opening bell. Salikhov, known for his creative kicks and heavy power, was overwhelmed as Medic attacked relentlessly before he could find his rhythm.
Medic sealed the fight with a perfectly timed straight left hand that sent Salikhov crashing to the canvas.
Uros Medic continues to prove himself as a top UFC knockout artist by finishing every fight decisively with speed and precision, making him a constant threat in the octagon.
