The soundtrack for 28 Years Later will be released on vinyl on December 19 through Milan Records. The music, composed by the Scottish group Young Fathers, known for their work on T2 Trainspotting, will come as a 2xLP set on translucent red vinyl. The edition is presented in a gatefold jacket with printed sleeves.
“The Scottish progressive hip hop group bring an electrifying blend of original vocal tracks and instrumental score to the album,” Milan Records writes.
The album includes fan-favorite tracks such as “Promised Land,” “Causeway,” and “Boots,” the latter integrating words from Rudyard Kipling’s wartime poem to dramatic effect.
28 Years Later reunites director Danny Boyle with screenwriter Alex Garland, continuing the post-apocalyptic horror saga that began with 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). Nearly thirty years have passed since the rage virus first escaped from a biological weapons lab. Humanity remains under tight quarantine, though some survivors have learned to endure within isolated enclaves. One such community inhabits a small island linked to the mainland by a single, heavily fortified causeway.
This vinyl release merges Young Fathers’ vibrant soundscapes with the chilling world of Danny Boyle's new sequel, promising an intense sonic experience for fans and collectors alike.
