Former BBC One Controller Peter Fincham claims Holly Willoughby is being considered to host Strictly Come Dancing after Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced they would leave at the end of this series.
Once ITV's golden girl, Holly Willoughby could now become BBC’s new queen of Saturday night TV. Fincham, who heard the news from a trusted media source in a hair salon, said:
“My hairdresser also cuts the hair of a well-known channel controller. What’s said in Harry’s the hairdresser stays in Harry’s. But he says with great confidence that Holly Willoughby will take over.”
If true, this would mark a notable return for Holly, 44, who left This Morning in 2023 after 14 years amid intense public scrutiny. Earlier that year, her co-presenter Phillip Schofield resigned following revelations about an extramarital affair and dishonesty with ITV management and colleagues.
