A new biographical film about Michael Jackson delves into the life, art, and controversies of the King of Pop. Jaafar Jackson, the singer’s nephew, portrays his famous uncle in the movie, which follows Jackson’s journey from his Jackson 5 beginnings to his passing in 2009.

Lionsgate and Universal Pictures released the first teaser on November 6, offering audiences their initial glimpse of Jaafar Jackson in the central role.
The trailer highlights key creative moments, including studio sessions with legendary producer Quincy Jones, portrayed by Kendrick Sampson of Insecure and How to Get Away with Murder. The film is scheduled to premiere on April 24, 2026.
“I know you’ve been waiting a long time for this. The tracks are made, the songs are ready, let’s take it from the top,”
