Season 5 of Marvel Rivals introduces a massive new feature — a 100-player non-combat hub set in Times Square. The update delivers a social and vibrant experience for players, focusing on interaction and entertainment rather than combat.
Netease announced that Season 5 will showcase the duo Rogue and Gambit alongside the debut of the Times Square map. The hub allows up to 100 players to gather, offering a space to meet, chat, dance, and display their cosmetics in a lively setting.
“The non-combat Times Square arena will serve as a hub for players to socialize, interact, and unwind.”
The virtual square mirrors the famous neon-glow atmosphere of the real New York landmark. Set at night, the map features shining façades, interactive ground-level stores, and glowing billboards.
The hub is reminiscent of Fortnite's pre-match lobby, where players share emotes and activities. As the developers teased, users can join in dances—yes, even the viral Venom move—and watch videos together on a large in-game screen.
The Times Square map will go live with the Season 5 update on November 14, available as a separate playlist in the matchmaking menu.
