Three Ceremonies to Mark Remembrance Day 2025 in Oakville
As November approaches, Oakville has announced its Remembrance Day plans, offering several ways for residents to honor the occasion with three local ceremonies scheduled.
Bronte Branch Walk and Ceremony
On Sunday, November 10, a walk organized by the Bronte Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will begin at 7–9 Jones Street and conclude at the cenotaph in Chris Vokes Memorial Park. A ceremony will follow starting at 10:50 a.m.
George’s Square Parade and Service
- A parade will leave the Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre at 10:30 a.m. heading to George’s Square.
- A service will take place at the square afterward.
- The event will be streamed live on the Town of Oakville’s YouTube channel.
Memorial Park Service
An additional service is planned at Memorial Park near the Trafalgar Memorial, beginning at 10:50 a.m.
The town encourages residents unable to attend in person to observe two minutes of silence at 11 a.m., wear a poppy, or watch the national ceremony.
